Frequency Response

I have finally finished processing all of the data and calculated the frequency, it ranges from 0 to a little bit above 2 Hz. The blue line is the motion of the KUKA, the green line above is the maching frequency.

The plot below is the frequency response of the raw data. I am not very sure why there is this large spike towards the end of the graph.

I will now use these data to conduct a Bode Plot.

Project Definition

Introduction

TraumaBot aims to revolutionise the way that patients, injured during a traumatic event such as a car accident or bomb blast, are managed by the medical profession with the ultimate goal of reducing fatalities. This project aims to take life saving treatment, currently only seen within the hospital setting, to the scene of the accident to ensure those preventable deaths can be avoided through fast intervention. Termed TraumaBot, this dual armed remote presence robot will be capable of undertaking diagnostic imaging using ultrasound and be equipped to manage critical internal bleeding, the leading cause of death within this patient group.

This project will be focused on the stabilisation of the system which enables remote presence ultrasound during transition while the patient is not still.

Objectives

The aim of this project is to design a mechanism for compensating for a patient’s motion using a robotically positioned ultrasound probe. The motions accounted are acceleration, deceleration and centripetal forces to enable accurate imaging to be obtained. This is in addition to the general physiological motion of respiration that will ultimately occur in addition. Motion compensation and force stabilisation has to be implemented so the force amplitude and direction of the Ultrasound probe remain constant against the body during investigation.
